Underground Black Metal

Underground Black Metal Webzine

Welcome to the site. Internet is full of metalzines and Black Metal zines and blogs and stuff. I just decided to make my own version of the old familiar formula. Here the focus is on new bands. Mainly promotion and useful links. I've been rolling this idea in my head since past winter (it's summer now in Northern Hemisphere). Black Metal is thing that fills my days so just out of passion for it I decided to create one more webzine into www cyber space.

At this starting point here's only little to see. The plan is to grow this thing bit by bit in my free time so here's going to be links to majority of Black Metal record labels, comprehensive list of upcoming releases, probably some advertising or marketplace for demos and albums and so on. And I'm trying to find out new ways to get people's attention to the new bands out there in the endless sea of underground scene. Here's no limits by different sub genres. I'd say anything between Motörhead and Carach Angren goes as long as it is Black Metal. If lyrics contain any jesus or allah or whatever crap supporting it is not Black Metal and so not belonging here.

In Black Metal scene people often use to ponder one's values. It would be nice diplomatic hippie sellout thing to say this website is free from ideologies. It is not. This site is very much against abrahamic religions, thank you.

If you want promotion for your band/label/distro or you would like to write album reviews etc contact:
ugbm@tuta.io
or via facebook.

If hearing is not enough but you also want to feel the music in your ears their debut EP release is for you:

Rienaus

Rienaus is raw melodic Black Metal band from Finland. After few demos they got out this splendid debut album called Aamutähdelle (To Morning Star in english) via KVLT records in September.

Take a listen of this distorted sweetness:

Rienaus - Uhrilahja

Rienaus - Kunniaa
(Live at Bar Lepakkomies Helsinki Finland in July 34)

Nox Aeternum

Wild one man band from United States. Must respect well done job. Nox Aeternum released first full length album in this September. It's all performed and produced by Andrew C. Hart. The man behind Nox Aeternum. And the album kills. Made of good old well-tried elements but not in bad rip off way. I hear similarities to many bands like Marduk, Belphegor, Emperor and some finnish bands for example. Take a listen:

Hypericum Herborea

This Chilean band sounds like pure Satan. Raw, distorted and high pitched bulldozer with some South American native influences. In my opinion this is close to what modern Black Metal should be at it's best. Hypericum Herborea's line-up is Nox Fragor in guitar and demonic screams, Inaful Antu aka Peumus Boldus in bass and Vilu Traiayün in drums. Their first demo Ünüfn (Fijke Anumka) will be released during this August as CD and cassette by Succarath Records and Antichrist Attack Productions.
